Custom Designs

At CD Neural Technologies, we recognize that many experimental situations require specialized, custom designed or modified equipment and products. As a result, we are always interested in discussing individual experimental requirements. We will strive to find cost effective solutions or suggest alternative approaches. Below are examples of some of our custom designed solutions.

Implantable Neurophysiological Devices

Micro-Stimulation Arrays

These Stimulation Arrays were built for researchers at Duke University's Dept. of Bioengineering. The arrays use 125um diameter stainless steel electrodes.

Small Animal Behavioral Training and Conditioning Systems

Rat Whisker Behavioral Box

This system was designed to provide a very well controlled behavioral training apparatus for conditioning rats to make fine-grained tactile discriminations using only their large facial whiskers. [see Krupa, et al., Science , 304, pp. 1989-92 (2004) for reference]
